| Sample Consulting Map Project: Bowron Lakes Park Map

| In response to an RFP put forward by an agency of the Province of British Columbia, Maps Unlimited was awarded
the contract to create a digital prototype map of Bowron Lakes Park. The agency wanted to look at converting their existing series
of traditional park maps into digitally produced products and they also wanted to explore ways to make the updating of these maps
more efficient and economical. Acting as the prime contractor, we developed a methodology that allowed us to convert the previously
traditionally produced Bowron Lakes Park map into a completely digital product. Maps Unlimited made use of automatic raster to vector
software and took advantages of desktop publishing software to create the new digital map. The result was a successful conversion and updating of the
Bowron Lakes Park map at a fraction of the previous updating costs. |
